Holy crap, I haven't updated in more than two months? What the hell have I been doing?

Oh, right. That.

It's really interesting to go from three months of crunch, seven days a week, 12-16 hours a day, back to a "normal" schedule of weekday only, 9-5 workdays. And by interesting, I mean relieving. I do have problems going to sleep before midnight, but a month away from work should fix that.

I have to admit, I've been feeling pretty lazy as of Monday, but that's just because I haven't been doing anything. Except occasionally freaking out when there's a random bug or two that might have something to do with the sound code. (That turned out to be a headphone problem.)

I want to apologize for the lack of recent updates. The content on this blog wanes with the waxing of challenging work; that probably means I'll be posting more often in the near future.

And now, a random bit of trivia to end with:

Legendary is hard. Really really really hard. Adamantium hard.

You guys must be pretty close to going gold soon, no? Are you actually looking forward to that? I would have thought that after working for so long on a project as renouned as Halo 2, the prospect of it all suddenly being over would be quite sobering. Still, I suppose you've got a couple of weeks of 'wind-down' time to get used to it.

Well, I suppose Legendary is supposed to be hard. Considering its description in the first game included the phrase "This is suicide," I wouldn't expect it to be easy. But Adamantium hard? Wow.

Yeah, when are you guys planning to go gold? Must be somewhere around the middle of October, I'd expect, as you need to get, you know, a million-something finished copies to retailers for Nov. 9.

Its ok VW, don't be ashamed. What you should have said is more of the truth like you can't beat Halo on Normal let alone Heroic or Leg heh.
Some people are just not good at gaming, especially Myth where you got your arse pwned daily :)

Adamantium hard? Bring it on! I am just a lowly HALO fanatic that was tipped off about this blog, and after reading it, am very pleased with that last statement. Overjoyed even. Because not only did I beat Legendary on little brother with alot of difficulty, but not enough to not do it...but that is the only difficulty we even look at anymore. 2 hrs is my personal best to run through it on Legendary with my good buddy (and possibly the best HALO player in the world, definitely top 10). Dont play much alone, I prefer other people when I play video games. But anywho, gettin off subject here...BRING THAT SH*T ON!

And by the way, THANKS for giving me a reason to live.

2 hours thru Legendary. hah. The best players/speedrunners in the world, using every glitch and shortcut did it in 2:18 COMBINED in a contest called 'Going Nowhere Fast" on HBO. You did it yourself in 2 hours? I laugh at the thought. I will never understand why people lie and exaggerate on teh web, jeezus.

hey man, learn to read...i said "2hrs is my personal best to run through it on Legendary WITH MY GOOD BUDDY" I also said earlier in my post that when I played it on Legendary on my own I DID in fact have a bit of roupble with it. I never have, and never will claim to be something I am not. But, I am pretty sure I would laugh at the thought of someone saying they could do it on their own in 2 hrs as well. To be honest, I doubt I could even run through the game on easy in under3 1/2 hrs alone, simply because I don't like to play alone, and would take many snack breaks. haha anyway, learn to read before you start callin people liars ok?

And I'm fairly sure we hit right at 2 hrs and 7 mins. But not possitive, so dont call me out on that one either, Ill ask Panther later, he knows for sure.

Yep. Coop is easier than single because of you having a second gun shooting along side you.

Legendary on Coop in 2 hours seems reasonable... But my best time, improved by my father/halo-loving friend figure, would be 13 hours. Bah, it's a good way to spend the morning, afternoon, evening, and night. IMO...

Like VirtualWolf asked, I'd also like to know how hard is Halo 2 Legendary in comparison to Halo Legendary; I need something to new to fear/look forward to.

Crap. I've forgotten my password. Too lazy to recover it.

Oh my! You know for us that have to share our time with websites and playing games, the games are hard enough as they are. Now, who said that Far Cry wasn't going to be hard??

Nevertheless, this one seems to be done and maybe this time we won't find the gold disc up on the moon as Gearbox went gold with Halo for PC. OR, at Best Buy, OR at etc..etc..etc..

CONGRATULATIONS!

rad.

i like frankie's statement. something along the lines of getting to a spot in the game (around ten minutes in on normal) that he was stuck at for 3 hours on legendary.

so close. so close...

This has totally nothing to do with Halo whatsoever, but the subject to this post reminded me of a lyric from a Northern Irish band called Watercress:

"It's not the fall that kills you but what's at the other end/
Gravity's my enemy, my friend."

*shrug* Just so you know.
