On your marks...
And so the month long work marathon begins. My wife is out of town until August, so that means I get to stay at work 16 hours a day. Hooray :P

You know, that is precisely why I ultimately chose not to join the gaming industry. My love of games would be cancelled out by the sheer amount of time put in creating. I have difficulty with the idea of becoming monk-like for a career. Finding balance is rough enough as it is.

So, props to you for being that dedicated to make it work!

It's not about dedication with my brother. He loves solving puzzles. He's loved puzzles since he knew what one was. This is about the intellectual challenge.

I mean, dedication figures into it. But I suspect it's his love of puzzle solving that keeps him there when the wifey is away. He's turned into Yami for a few weeks!

I, too, like the intellectual challenge (I was looking into game design), but I found the amount of dedication to be off-putting in my case. I'm not as inclined to let my love of things drive me as far as it wishes to go.

I was looking into game design and programming too, but I decided to actually go with it. I'll probably be going to Full Sail or Digipen two summers from now. Hopefully things will all work out.

CORRECTION:
That should read "nice lady with the plastic card."

You know it's worth it, though.

Millions are eagerly awaiting what you are doing. About 7 are waiting on me. I'm not saying I'm unimportant, just that you are so lucky (gift/curse?) that your job is actually going to improve the quality of life of a huge amount of people. Stick to your work in the coming months and you'll be bringing more happiness to more people than you can imagine.
